Foggles ("Fog Goggles") are the most comfortable way to restrict your outside view while practicing instrument flying.
Approximately 85% of Foggles' high-impact polycarbonate lenses are frosted so that only a small field of view is available, restricting vision to only the instrument panel.
Unlike IFR hoods, Foggles don't give you that feeling of looking down a tunnel, and they also aren't as clumsy or cumbersome. They fit comfortably over most eyeglasses, work with any standard headset, and won't get in the way of headset wires. |
