The AR108 is the best value airband receiver. Check out the radio chatter overhead with an easy-to-use scanner.
Measuring 2.25" x 3.25" (5.7 x 8.3 cm) with a 3" (8cm) antenna, the AR-108 is pocket-sized for use at Airshows or on the go, while the squelch feature cuts out static for hours of enjoyable use.
Since it only receives and doesn't transmit, it's not designed for use as a backup radio in the cockpit, but it does borrow high-end features from aviation-grade transceivers costing hundreds of dollars more.
Program in your local aviation frequencies or scan frequencies from 108.000 MHz to 136.975 MHz in 25 KHz or 1 MHz steps.
Program in up to 99 memory channels for fast scanning at the touch of a button.
Monitor two channels at once with Dual Channel Watch.
